Restore Your Smile

Restore Your Smile

When a tooth is broken, missing, or worn down, restorative dentistry brings back the function and look of a healthy smile, usually in fewer visits than you'd expect.

Restorative care is what we do when something is already wrong, a cracked molar, a missing tooth, a filling that's failed, a smile that no longer chews comfortably. The goal isn't cosmetic perfection. It's getting your mouth back to doing its job: chewing, speaking, and resting without pain.

At our Scottsville office on West River Road, Dr. Youn handles most restorative work in-house, including implants, root canals, crowns, and dentures. That means fewer trips up to Charlottesville or Lynchburg, and one team that knows your full history.

Every plan starts with a careful look at the whole picture: what's bothering you, what's hidden on the x-rays, and what fits your budget and timeline. You'll leave the consult knowing exactly what's recommended, what it costs, and what your options are.

Why it matters

  • Most procedures completed in-house, implants, root canals, crowns, dentures
  • An experienced dentist who personally oversees every complex case
  • Tooth-colored, natural-looking materials wherever possible
  • Clear pricing and financing options discussed before any work begins

Questions we hear

How long does a typical restorative case take?+
It depends on the procedure. A filling is one visit. A crown is usually two. A full implant case can span a few months as the bone heals. We'll lay out the full timeline at your consult so there are no surprises.
Will I need to be referred to a specialist?+
Usually no. Dr. Youn completes most restorative work, including root canals and implant placement, in our Scottsville office. If a case truly needs a specialist, we'll tell you upfront and coordinate the referral.
What if I can't afford everything at once?+
We'll prioritize what needs to happen now versus what can wait, and walk through payment plans, CareCredit, and the Virginia Dental Club. The goal is a plan you can actually follow through on.
Can a damaged tooth still be saved?+
Often, yes. Fillings, crowns, and root canal therapy can rescue teeth that look beyond repair. Dr. Youn always tries to preserve your natural tooth first and only recommends removal when there is no better option.
