Dental Implants

Single Tooth Implant

For one missing tooth, a dental implant replaces the root and crown together, without touching the healthy teeth on either side.

Why a single implant beats a bridge

A traditional bridge replaces a missing tooth by placing crowns on the two neighboring teeth. That means reshaping healthy enamel that did not need anything done to it. A single implant replaces only the missing tooth. The titanium post fuses with your jawbone and supports its own crown, leaving the neighbors completely untouched.

A natural look and feel

The crown that finishes the implant is shaded to match your other teeth. You clean it the same way you clean a natural tooth. Most patients say after a few weeks, they stop thinking of it as anything other than their tooth.

Stable bone, stable smile

A natural tooth root keeps the surrounding jawbone healthy. An implant does the same thing, helping retain bone and supporting your facial contours over the long term, the way a bridge or empty socket cannot.

An established, evidence-based titanium implant platform known for predictable osseointegration and long-term screw joint stability.

  • National research award

Dr. Youn earned the Academy of General Dentistry's national first-place research award for his work on implant screw tightening techniques and screw joint stability, a study directly relevant to long-term implant outcomes.

  • Hospital-based surgical training

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery externships at Broward Health Medical Center, Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, and Harborview Medical Center.

  • Digital treatment planning

CBCT 3D imaging guides every implant case so the implant is placed precisely where bone, soft tissue, and your existing bite call for it.

Questions we hear

How long does a single implant take?+
From start to finish, usually three to six months. Most of that is healing time while the implant integrates with your jawbone. Active chair time is much shorter: a single placement appointment, then a crown delivery later.
Does the procedure hurt?+
Most patients describe it as similar to or less than a routine extraction. Some pressure during placement, mild soreness for a few days, easily managed with ibuprofen. Many patients are back at work the next day.
How long do dental implants last?+
With good home care and routine cleanings, most implants last 20 years or longer, and many last a lifetime. The crown on top usually needs replacement every 10 to 15 years, like any crown.
Am I a candidate for an implant?+
Most adults with reasonable bone, healthy gums, and no uncontrolled health issues are candidates. Heavy smokers, uncontrolled diabetics, and patients with severe bone loss may need additional work first. A consult and 3D scan tell us for sure.
